IP Access Control

Working in conjunction with IP Video Surveillance, IP access control systems connect badge readers, door hardware, and locks to the IP network. Each low cost physical access gateway can control up to two doors and is configurable over the IP network through any web browser. In the event of a power or network outage, offline operation is supported. To simplify cabling, power options include Power over Ethernet (PoE) or external 12/24 VDC power.

Physical access gateways are controlled by the physical access management system. In addition to monitoring doors and video cameras, users are assigned to the system and given fine-grained access control privileges to fit their role within the organization. Using two physical access modules, failover and redundancy is available. Time clocks and payroll software may also be integrated with this system.
