Randy Choplin

A pioneer in the industry, Randy Choplin is widely recognized as a driving force in bringing the promise of streaming video technology to the telecommunications sector. Currently, Mr. Choplin brings his passion for company building and business development to government agencies, inspiring them to embrace and execute on the vision of streaming video to serve the consumers and businesses in their communities.

In his role as President and COO, he serves as ConnectVIEW’s chief financial and organizational strategist as he simultaneously leads the company’s sales and marketing efforts. A frequent speaker at municipal conferences, Mr. Choplin also lectures regularly at the University of North Carolina School of Government, interacting with chief information officers from local and state governments from all over the Southeastern United States.

Prior to founding ConnectVIEW, Mr. Choplin was the founder and CEO of well-known technology startups Windchannel, Mediaspan, and nSyndicate; growing those companies to successful exits via mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Choplin has a 20-year history in the technology innovation space from his early days as a pioneer in the Internet with MCI, as an original member of Vinton Cerf’s advanced technology team, to his most recent exit from the wireless broadband startup that evolved to service over 30,000 wireless users daily.
